Trevithick Day takes place in Camborne - celebrating the life of Richard Trevithick, famous for developing the first high pressure steam engine, and Camborne’s industrial and mining heritage.
The new The High Sheriff of Cornwall, Geraint Richards MVO will be attending leading the opening parade and the dances
See the steam engines lined up in Basset Street and don’t miss the parade of steam starting at 3.30 when the engines travel via Cross Street and then up Trelowarren Street.
Four Lanes Male Choir are celebrating their 80th year and will be performing on the day - on the main stage at midday
Lots of events taking place including a celebration in the Library between 9 & 4pm with Family Crafts, build a steam engine out of lego, face painting for the kids - plus musician Will Keating performing between 11 & 1
