HD Livin’ supports people and families facing severe challenges with Huntington’s Disease. Huntington’s Disease is a mixture of neurological disorders including Parkinson’s, Dementia and Motor Neurone Disease. Sufferers live between 16 & 20 years from onset. We aim to provide purpose built home from home HD Livin’ Respite Centres with specialist care. Our centres will include Hubs with facilities for families to meet up and support each other and professionals to give talks and information to those impacted. Although we are doing this primarily for HD sufferers we will also provide Respite Care for people suffering with all neurological disorders. Help us to give sufferers and their families the support they need to manage this cruel disease.

We offer inpatient care at Mount Edgcumbe and St Julia's Hospices, Lymphoedema clinics, community support hubs, and bereavement services. This is free, thanks to the Cornish community, who've generously supported our work for over four decades.

Penhaligon’s Friends are a Cornish charity supporting bereaved children, young people, parents and carers throughout the county. We offer children and young people the chance to meet others and share their experiences, as well as practical resources for children and parents.

We also deliver an extensive programme of training and advice for other childcare professionals and those interested in becoming a volunteer.

Over the years the organisation has grown and there are now 5 full time and 5 part time staff members and a dedicated team of over 80 volunteers. We have increased our partnership working and relationships with other agencies, thus broadening the opportunities for Cornish children to receive optimum support.
