Scrum Halves Ruaridh & Alex Re-sign

Further good news from the Cornish Pirates as they confirm two more players for next season.

Scrum-halves, Ruaridh Dawson and Alex Schwarz, have signed new one-year contracts with the club.

Durham-born Ruaridh, aged 25, was initially a squad member in 2019/20, during which he made five appearances.

He then signed contracts again for the past two seasons and has now taken his games tally to 39. A player who just occasionally has featured on the wing, Ruaridh is a former Newcastle Falcons, England under 18s, and Scotland under 20s player.

Born in North Wales, 30-year-old Alex is a former Wales under 18s player who signed for the Cornish Pirates in May 2018, having previously played in the Wales’ Principality Premiership for Rygbi Gogledd Cymru (RGC).

His early rugby was enjoyed at Mold Rugby Club, and he has also in the past played for Italian side Rugby Colorno.

As is expected at this time of the year, further player announcements will be made in the coming days.
