On Saturday Redruth welcome to the Recreation Ground old friends Dings Crusaders in a 6th plays 1st encounter.
Now this is what Redruth would call a derby match but for Dings it will be their longest trip of the season as they make the jaunt down the M5 from Bristol.
The visitors are having a fantastic season, 6 wins out of 6 leaves them top of the table and they have so far only dropped 1 point and that was in their away victory at 2nd place Leicester Lions. Close inspection of their results shows that they have discovered that vital knack of winning tight games, there has been a 4 point away win at Leicester Lions, a 4 point home win over Bournville and a 3 point away win at Old Reds.
It is probably fare to say that most people from both camps would expect a close encounter on Saturday. Last weekend though wasn't a close one as they thumped Barnstaple by 52-10, the star of the show that day was full-back Ciaran Donoghue with 22 points on his debut.
The Reds come into this match on a high, the massive home win over Newport (Salop) was followed by an excellent bonus point away win at Luctonians RFC. This victory was an excellent example of defending your line and all costs and of taking your chances when they arrive and the team were full value for their victory.
Fraser Honey continues to rack up the points and is know on 79, the top try scorers are Dean Bonds and Will Trewin on 6, with Richard Brown close behind on 5.
