Joe and Will sign new deals

Following last week’s news that forwards Jack Andrew and John Stevens both signed new one-year deals

The Cornish Pirates have confirmed extensions to the deals for, Joe Elderkin and Will Trewin, for the 2023/24 season.

Exeter-born centre Joe, aged 24, is former Truro School and Truro RFC youth team player who attended Exeter University and has in the past represented Exeter Chiefs.

Also having played for Redruth, Plymouth Albion, and for Cornwall, since signing his first fulltime contract for the Cornish Pirates ahead of the 2021/22 season, he has to date made 44 appearances for the club.

As for 23-year-old full-back/wing Will, it was first announced in May last year that he had signed a one-year contract.

After enjoying his youth team rugby Helston RFC, he later played for Truro College, Cardiff Met University, and then Redruth.

He has also represented Exeter Chiefs under 23s and is proudly a former Cornwall under 20s and Cornwall senior player who in his first season with the Cornish Pirates has featured in 14 games.
