A young football academy player from a leading College in Cornwall has scored for England. Asked how he felt when the ball hit the net Josiah said: “It’s Incredible.”
The sport diploma and football academy student at Truro and Penwith College netted a beautiful goal for his country, after being selected for the England College Football Association.
Speaking about his fantastic experience at St George’s Park Jos said: “It was an amazing feeling scoring against Independent schools and I am very appreciative of Gary, my head coach at College, for putting me forward for the England trials.”
Jos a former Falmouth School pupil, studies the Extended Diploma in Sport & Exercise Science at Truro, and hopes to celebrate his birthday by scoring again when he plays Leicester in February. His opportunities don’t stop there, he’s been selected to play for England, in football loving Italy, in the Roma Caput Mundi Tournament.
Although his football career is achieving its goals Jos remembers where it all started, stating: “I'm very appreciative of my coaches at College, Tamas and Fred, for the hours they have put in over the last year and a half, for the development of me and my teammates.”
