Cornwall Air Ambulance charity album hits the UK charts

Cornwall Air Ambulance is incredibly excited that its charity album, ‘Sing it Home’, has reached the UK charts.

The album, which is raising money to help bring a second helicopter to Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, has reached number 11 in the Official Album Downloads Chart and number 76 in the Official Compilations Chart.

But the lifesaving charity needs your help to get to number 1 this week. They have until midnight on Thursday (28th November) to move up the Official UK Charts and hit that number 1 spot.

You can help them get there by buying a digital download for just £5 here. Not only will you be helping Cornwall Air Ambulance to climb the charts, but every penny raised will go towards the Heli2 Appeal and securing that additional aircraft so they can save even more lives.

The Sing it Home album features hundreds of Cornish musicians who are all singing to save lives – some with a personal connection to the charity.

One of the singers featured on the album and title track is one of the charity’s very own Critical Care Paramedics, Jeremy Griffiths, as part of a local shanty group.

Jeremy said: “It’s an honour to be featured on Sing it Home with Falmouth Shout. Owning a second helicopter will help us attend more patients by air, 19-hours a day, 365 days a year, and ultimately save even more lives. The track and the album are a great way to bring the community together to make that mission possible.”

Other artists featured include The Oggymen, Kana, Falmouth Shout, Tom Cary, Shane Solomon, The Stowes, Barrett’s Privateers, the Boscastle Buoys and former patient Lottee Brown.

The title sea shanty song also features as the soundtrack for the charity’s brand-new Christmas animation. Watch it here: https://cornwallairambulancetrust.org/christmas/
