The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Social Media and Events Superstar. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to lead our social media strategy, plan and execute engaging events, and connect with our audience in meaningful ways. If you're a motivated self-starter with a passion for social media, events, and community building, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engagement, and followers across all platforms.
• Create compelling content—including posts, stories, and videos—that resonates with our audience and aligns with our brand voice and values.
• Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and opportunities to engage with our audience in real-time.
• Plan and execute memorable events, that leave a lasting impression on attendees and support our organisational goals.
• Collaborate with internal teams—including sales, programming, and finance—to ensure alignment and cohesion across all initiatives.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in social media management and event planning, preferably in a similar industry or organisation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to craft compelling messages and engage with diverse audiences.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a knack for coming up with innovative ideas and executing them effectively.
• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Competent in Adobe Software, Canva and Photoshop
• Able to operate video equipment, edit and produce short promotional videos to engage the station to the wider audience.
